Easter Basket Series: Infants

With Easter less than a week away, I thought it would be fun to put together some basket ideas for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers. Instead of "stuffers" or "filler" that eventually get used up, these items are of high quality, are open ended, and encourage children to use them again and again in different ways. Here are some of my favorites for infants 6-12 months:

1. Orange Lovey: This sweet Waldorf-inspired doll would make a great transitional object or teether for your older infant. 2. Egg and Cup: This traditional Montessori material acts as baby's first puzzle. Fitting the egg into the cup also helps to develop the palmer grasp.  3. That's Not My Lamb: The various textures and bright, simple illustrations in this board bood will appeal to your baby during story time.
